Easter Time

Image
I think I love holidays so much because my husband makes this kind of thing fun! He bought the kids baskets for a big lunch and Easter egg hunt with all his family and cousins. There was a really nice spread. Lots of yummy food. They were actually having a burping contest that I think James was winning (or trying to at least) with Sadie in a close second. Abbey playing in the ice that was dumped out after the party. She loved walking through it and eating it (grass, dirt, and all) The swim party after the picnic was a big success. Grandma Nette bought all the grandkids new swimming suits.  Cody and Chase hanging out by the pool. My darling daughter - turned into a bathing beauty. Macey, Paige, Sadie, Jordyn & James playing crazy kid games. Can you tell who is orchestrating this game? Paige loved her suit, and was glad Grandma Nette bought her the right one (one that covered her tummy) - she is such a good girl. Once Abbey got in the pool it was almost impo

Easter luncheon and egg hunt

My cool friend Abbey decided to plan this great luncheon for Easter. Abbey didn't care much for the eggs after she found a bouncy ball. Here's the mastermind behind the fun time.  Abbey finally sits down for a minute to eat a little lunch. That's my girl - only happy when she's at her dirtiest!

The mop head is in LOVE (with Dora) and ice cream

This is my gorgeous girl in the morning when she first wakes up. This is her favorite thing to do when she first wakes up. She is obsessed with Dora. When it starts she does a crazy little dance and says "oh man." Can't get her attention at all. I'm lucky if I can get her to eat. Please mom, I really can't be bothered right now. We got to babysit my friends little boy, Gavin. We stopped for baby ice cream cones at McDonalds. Gavin and his ice cream cone. And here is Abbey with Gavin's ice cream cone. Notice the drips all down the arm. Such good stuff!! And this is Abbey's favorite place at night... a baba, a binki, and my bed (oh yeah and watching Dora).

While the boys are away... the girls will play

Abbey's happy that Dad and James were gone on "Fathers and Sons" campout... oh yeah and they took our car, so it was Girls night in. Abbey gets her tunes goin' Paige decides on our menu. She makes her first smoothie solo. I'm proud of my girl. We also made beignets, let's just say - we're looking forward to trying that one again with better success. We invited some friends over and watched a movie together. It was so much fun.
